We are pleased to invite paper submissions for a one-day Workshop on Policy Impact Assessment, that will be held on May 1st, 2026, at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, NS.
Impact Assessment is an essential, evidence-based process that is necessary to evaluate multiple dimensions of public policy design and implementation. For instance, it examines factors such as costs, intended and unintended consequences of policy instruments that are implemented to address identified societal or economic challenges.
In this workshop of Impact Assessment, we will welcome contributions of extended abstracts or full papers that focus on impact assessment of public policy, and include, but are not limited to education policy, industrial policy, health policy, and science, technology and innovation policy. We welcome contributions that provide novel discussions to theory, data and methods across different sectors from expert academics and practitioners in the field.
All selected presentations will be considered for travel and accommodation support. The presenters will be informed about funding at the time they receive notification on whether their paper is accepted for presentation.
Please feel free to extend this invitation to anyone who may be interested.
