CIPA – Center for Innovation and Policy Analysis – contributes to the understanding and effective design of public policy through rigorous impact evaluation. We employ micro-econometric methodologies using confidential administrative and survey data to establish causal inference in policy assessment. Our research focuses on policy and program designs that can be evaluated with causal methods.
Current research themes include:
- Impact evaluation of innovation subsidies to private firms
- Evaluation of innovation and industrial policy
- Evaluation of social policies related to education and labor markets
We aim to expand our research scope to other areas of policy and program impact evaluation.
Skills Development: We contribute to human capital formation by training professionals in impact assessment techniques and methodologies via professional development, workshops and conferences.
Outreach: We bring together scholars and practitioners to advance knowledge and discussion on impact evaluation methods, techniques, and theoretical development.
